A response to 1.2.3.18

More to think about

The whole chapter is presented here:

We do not forget that Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit, and born of a virgin, not of lust, as even Muslims recognize.

As for Matthew 11:11, Al-Kadhi should read the whole passage to see that Jesus stated this not as an absolute but as a contrast to those who were in a new relationship with God - being members of the kingdom of Heaven, or expressed in the words from the Gospel according to John 1:13 - born of God: the least of these is greater than those born only of flesh.

Of the sinfulness of those born to women, we do not disagree generally, but it is emphatic and not exclusive. If it were exclusive, then would the words of the Qur'an be nullified that Jesus was without sin.

"Flesh gives birth to flesh, but Spirit gives birth to spirit."
